Job Title – Breakdown Recovery Technician

Job Description – A leading breakdown / recovery garage requires an extra technician to carry out breakdown & recovery of cars and light commercial vehicles in and around the Kirklees area. On occasions some distance recovery work will be required

Required Experience – Experience in the motor trade with an ability to carry out minor vehicle repairs would be an advantage although consideration will be given to partly skilled mechanics as training is available.

Person Specification – Must be over 21 (due to insurance criteria) and possess a full car driving licence and the confidence to drive a breakdown vehicle of up to 7.5 tons. (For the majority of people a full car driving license permits a person to drive a 7.5 tons vehicle). You needs to be a person who has a knowledge and interest in motor vehicles, a clear communicator with good customer care skills and able to work on your own initiative. You should live in the Kirklees area so that response times attending to breakdowns can be achieved during peak rush hours. Good mechanical knowledge and a HGV Rigid Licence would be an advantage – HGV training is available for the right candidate.

Contract & Salary – Permanent Full Time and Part Time contracts available.
Flexible working which will include evenings and week-ends on a rota basis with some on call working.
Good remuneration package with expected earnings of over £20,000 per year (part-time would be pro-rata).
